Established in 2010, the Department of Business Administration at Shree Vidyadhiraja College of Arts and Science has evolved into a dynamic hub for management education, blending academic rigor with industry relevance. Since its inception, the department has been guided by distinguished leadership, initially by Dr. Bharathi Veena, the first Head of Department, whose foundational work shaped its academic philosophy. The department is currently headed by Mrs. Divya R, who leads its transition into outcome-based, skill-integrated education aligned with NEP 2020.
The programme received AICTE affiliation in 2024, ensuring compliance with prescribed academic and infrastructural standards. In line with evolving higher education frameworks, the department now offers a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in Business Administration with specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This industry-aligned curriculum equips students with managerial insight and specialized expertise to meet the demands of rapidly expanding logistics, e-commerce, and supply chain sectors.
The department functions with a dedicated team of faculty members, each contributing distinct academic and administrative responsibilities to ensure holistic student development.
Provides academic and administrative leadership for the department. Oversees curriculum implementation, quality benchmarks, industry collaborations, and faculty development. Also serves as Placement Officer and IIC Coordinator, driving entrepreneurship development and innovation challenges.
Serves as Senior Faculty and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) for the college NCC unit. Responsible for enrolment, training, and discipline of NCC cadets, coordinating camps and parades. Handles core management papers and is an active member of IIC.
Manages class charge responsibilities and maintains academic records. As Faculty-in-Charge of ED Club and IIC member, she fosters entrepreneurial mindset among students through workshops and idea-pitching sessions. Ensures smooth day-to-day academic functioning.

Deliver FYUGP curriculum with emphasis on conceptual clarity, case-based learning, and application-oriented pedagogy in marketing, HR, finance, operations, and logistics.
Domain-specific knowledge through specialised papers, simulation exercises, and exposure to freight management, supply chain analytics, EXIM documentation, and green logistics.
MoUs with logistics firms, retail chains, and MSMEs for internships, live projects, and industrial visits. Expert sessions from practitioners.
Certificate programs, business communication, entrepreneurship development, resume building, mock interviews, and sector-specific training.
Undergraduate research, market surveys, minor projects on contemporary business challenges. Extension activities and business clubs foster leadership, ethical decision-making, and social responsibility.
To be recognised as a centre of excellence for business education that nurtures competent, ethical, and industry-ready management professionals with specialised expertise in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
